Our Story
The Muslim Doctors Association (MDA) began with a heartfelt vision in 2004 in the close-knit community of Luton. What started as a small group offering free health checks and workshops to local residents has grown into a dynamic force of healthcare and allied professionals across the UK. Driven by compassion and community spirit, MDA has expanded its reach to include multi-disciplinary healthcare initiatives across the nation, supporting those who are often left behind in the healthcare system.
Alongside local programs, MDA has extended its hands to those in crisis, developing projects to support refugees and displaced communities abroad. Guided by community insights and grounded in evidence-based, faith-sensitive practices, MDA's mission is to bridge health gaps and advocate for policy change.
By connecting with underrepresented Muslim, minority ethnic, and marginalized communities, the organization strives to inspire well-being, create equitable access, and improve health experiences for all.
